They are remodeling their motel rooms. Toured one of those. Very nice!
Just completed a "pre-season stay" at Jim and Amy Lokey's place. Love it. The Lokey's are OUTSTANDING folks. They are accommodating, sincerely seeking to make your stay enjoyable. They run a great business in a great place on the planet. Cannot recommend highly enough if you're going to be in Silverton ... we've tent camped, RV camped, and now have used their cabin billet.
Neat like place to stay in Silverton Colorado. A bit expensive for the size but clean and while I was there it was very quiet.

We brought our own ATVs, but the Lokey's have excellent equipment (Jeeps/snowmobiles) to rent as well.
The cabins were great and we enjoyed having a private bath, as opposed to past cabin rentals in Colorado, where we used used community showers/toilets. The staff was friendly and the price was great. Several members of our family (small children included) suffered from splinters throughout our visit. These were acquired from picnic tables, railings, and even the floor of our cabin. This was our biggest problem. The full sized sheets were ill fitted and came off our bed nightly, so it may be worth it to bring your own. The twin sheets were fine. We rented a Jeep on two occasions and it was a great experience.
